Welcome
WoBusu is a conceptual grounding for African Diasporic expression.
Currently a collaborative blog and unisex accessories line, WoBusu literally translates as a “made up word for family”. But it’s more than that.
It’s about the ways we show up for and support one another in the diaspora, the way family ought to do.
It’s about celebrating all of our existence from the highs found in the beautiful banality of hairdressing and undisputed style to even the traumatic lows of our differences.
WoBusu is another word for “Fam” and we hope you feel at home here.
Thanks for stopping by, Fam.

Rocking gravity defying hairdoos is always in spirit of the New Year. When your crown doesn’t mess with the bull-ish then neither should you. Defy the status quo while your hair defies gravity. #blackhairstorymonth

Dating during the pandemic? Take all of that self care and self discovery from the last few months, and learn to trust yourself and your gut. Don’t let a cuffing season or pandemic rush you.
