So this year has been spent laying the foundations for the launch of the WoBusu brand (December 2018, I see you!). And throughout this year things have moved so fast that I’ve barely been able to keep up, whilst other times the snail pace at which things came allowed for some serious, patient self-reflection.
Journaling isn’t something I often do, but I wanted to tie the products with some of the thought processes that inspired their production. To that effect, this blog will be a look back on the aesthetic, literary, and musical snippets that have invoked something within the creative process. Likewise, the blog will also have a forward-facing look for where the brand will go. The blog won’t be a pusher of commercial wares, but hopefuly serve as a look into the production and design process for WoBusu.
Drawing energy— or vim— from seemingly disparate times, places and people throughout the Black Atlantic, this blog is not merely about singular fashionable moments in time, but an exercise in timelessness. As people of African descent we are eternal and we are everywhere, linked in ways we sometimes can’t even imagine; whether they be real, spiritual, historical, concrete or ethereal.
